Therapy for Healthy Relationships and More Effective Communication

Do you have a tough time saying no?
Maybe you find it difficult to express yourself to others, or you feel trapped in relationship cycles that you just can’t get out of.
When we have a tough time relationally, it can impact so much of our everyday life. We’re really in constant relationship with others…sometimes more intimate, sometimes more removed, but from our partnerships and families to our workplace and larger communities, the way we show up in relationships is such a significant part of our world.
Whether it’s people-pleasing, not knowing how to communicate or advocate for yourself, or navigating conflict, there is a way to get to a place of more ease, calm, and empowerment in all of your relationships.

-
But why does this feel so hard?
In so many ways, our world is full of constant communication, yet we are truly not set up to learn communication skills that really support us and our relationships. And navigating that as an adult, with everything else you’re dealing with, is way more complicated than maybe it feels like it’s supposed to be.
Plus, the stories we have about ourselves can really impact the way we work relationally. People-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, lack of clarity about what you want, need, and deserve…these can affect how we show up with our people and how fulfilling (or not) relationships can feel.
But you’re not alone, and this isn’t unsolvable. It just takes some investigating, some practicing, and trust in yourself (which I get can be often the toughest part!).

Imagine how it might feel...
What if you could feel more able to share your thoughts, feelings, and needs to your partner in ways that feel accurate and in ways that will help them to truly receive it?
How might it feel to be more empowered to hold boundaries at work or with family, even if it challenges their previously held ideas or expectations of you?
What might life be like if people-pleasing didn’t take up so much space and saying “no” felt comfortable and not at all scary?
These are just. some of the things that therapy can help with, along with so many other relationship challenges. I know it can seem daunting at first, but that’s why you don’t have to go it alone.
Let’s connect so that we can get you started on this journey!
